We aim to nurture the mind, body and soul of our residents in a way that makes this part of their lives as fulfilling as the rest. Offering a choice of Independent living, Assisted living and Memory care options Saint George Orthodox Village accommodates the needs of our residents.
What began as a National Geographic expedition to find the longest living cultures evolved into a recipe for living longer that we are incorporating into Saint George Village. To do this is not very difficult since our model is that of a Greek island village which is also one of the blue zones identified by natural geographic.
Elements incorporated are consistent with the Blue Zone Theory of longevity (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_Zone):
- comes first as we provide guest suites for family visitors to spend extended time with each other. Family members are encouraged to dine with and participate in activities with their loved ones.
- both other residents and staff of SGV become an extended family.
- common areas for social interactions encourage participation in SGV extend family.
